JAVA and CORBA based Collaborative Environment for Coupled Simulations (JACO3) assesses the effectiveness of the use of a collaborative working environment in the scientific simulation design process by coupling existing codes and visualisation systems. The JACO3 project provides a framework for running multi-site high performance computing environments and will determine its cost-benefits when applied to specific coupled engineering problems from the industry.
