The Beta Grid project, is working to: 1.define the behavior of a standard "Grid-enabled cluster" in terms of the protocols it must speak, the scheduling disciplines it must implement, its performance characteristics, etc.; and 2.develop a standard software suite, comprising protocol implementations, schedulers, configuration scripts, etc.
