First EDGeS User and Industry Forum meeting calls for participation
Paris 13 May 2008 The combined EDGeS User and Industry Forum meeting/XW'08 - Second XtremWeb Users Workshop will be held in Orsay, Paris, France, May 28-29, 2008. The Workshop will provide a unique opportunity to get acquainted with Desktop Grids, especially based on XtremWeb, and the EDGeS infrastructure and software that will ease the use and programming of Desktop Grids and the integration with Service Grids.

The meeting is aimed at people interested in setting up or programming Desktop Grids, especially with XtremWeb.

This first combined Desktop Grid User and Industry Forum will focus on three topics:

  • Presentation of the technical developments of the EDGeS project
  • Presentation of seven academic and industrial applications selected to be ported onto the EDGeS infrastructure
  • Experience with XtremWeb Grids and applications

The meeting will also have lots of opportunities for discussion.
