"Our strong relationship with QLogic and its HPCtrack programme is a key part of our InfiniBand product strategy. We are excited about the InfiniBand interoperability as it is the selected storage system interface from the first PetaScale-class supercomputer at Oak Ridge National Laboratory", stated Julie Ryan, director of alliances, Engenio Storage Group, LSI. "With the ability to conduct interoperability certifications with the very latest solutions from QLogic and other critical members of the HPC ecosystem, we will be able to optimize the reliability and performance of our products for the marketplace."
"LSI has been a strong member of our SANtrack programme for several years and with the addition of this important partner to our HPCtrack roster, we can begin to deliver compatible, best-of-breed InfiniBand solutions to our mutual HPC customers", stated Joe Kimpler, director of business alliances, QLogic Corp. "We look forward to working closely with LSI as the HPC market continues to expand into increasingly broader applications."
LSI is actively involved in the QLogic HPCtrack Programme for ecosystem partners and customers with HPC clusters. The HPCtrack programme is designed to provide faster access to new InfiniBand technology, to certify the interoperability of ecosystem products and to provide a basis for closer collaboration on performance optimization of multi-vendor solutions. In addition to LSI, other HPCtrack members include 3 Leaf Systems, Altair, AutoDesk, CD-adapco, Clustercorp, Corning Cabling Systems, Data Direct Networks, FalconStor, Isilon Systems, Livermore Software Technology Corporation, LSI, Panasas, Quantum, RAID Incorporated, RNA Networks, SCALI, SI-Cortex, SIMULIA, Terascala, Texas Memory Systems and Zarlink.
