Neil Chue Hong is the new Director of the Open Middleware Infrastructure Institute UK (OMII-UK), a collaborative e-Science project between the University of Southampton, the University of Manchester, and the University of Edinburgh (where he is based). Neil Chue Hong a member of the Open Grid Forum (OGF).

Before taking up the Director's job, he was the OMII-UK Operations Manager at the Edinburgh Parallel Computing Centre (EPCC). At EPCC, he was also responsible for the grid data programme, which included the OGSA-DAI, NextGRID and OMII-Europe projects.
Neil Chue Hong did lead the development of the OGSA-DAI data access and integration software for the last four years. Prior to this he worked in the area of image processing and machine vision, working with Scottish industries in sectors as diverse as microelectronics to mushroom farming. |
