Founded more than 50 years ago, the Los Angeles County, California-based hospital is the only non-profit hospital in the Antelope Valley and offers a full range of services, including comprehensive diagnostic imaging services, surgical and critical care units, rehabilitation and specialized cardiac care services. Antelope Valley Hospital also has the second busiest emergency department in Los Angeles County, seeing more than 100,000 patients per year. With the community depending on the hospital to meet their health care needs, the physicians and hospital staff must have reliable information technology (IT) systems.
To provide the hospital with the high reliability it needs for their IT systems, Antelope Valley Hospital leaders turned to IBM System x3850 servers featuring IBM's X3 Architecture with three levels of memory protection and advanced systems management, and IBM System Storage DS4800. The advanced, integrated technologies enable the hospital to run more efficiently for staff and patient needs.
